The Practice That Changed Everything
Yoga4Autism was founded in 2013 by David Ellams — entrepreneur, technologist, public speaker and person on the autism spectrum — long before it was widely talked about, long before there was support, and long before the world had language for what he was experiencing.
After years of trying conventional medication that left him feeling disconnected and unlike himself, David discovered yoga. Then mindfulness. Then meditation. Then nutrition. Then nature. One by one, each piece of the holistic puzzle clicked into place — and his symptoms began to genuinely improve, not just be masked.
"I now do yoga every single day — religiously — because nothing has helped me more." From that transformation came a burning desire to share it: first through yoga classes, then school visits, public speaking at shows and events, retreats, 1-on-1 sessions and group classes — and eventually, a global franchise model to bring Y4A to every community on Earth.
Y4A was the very first project David created in 2013 — before the OASIS, before the Justice League Academy, before anything else. It is the seed from which an entire vision of a better world grew. And after nearly a decade of building the technology to support that vision, Y4A is back — and this time, it has the full power of the OASIS Omniverse behind it.
"I have been trying to get back to Y4A ever since I pivoted to the tech in 2016. It took 9 years longer than planned — but here we are. And I truly believe that everything we built in between was worth it, because now Y4A can reach the whole world."
